Dr. Boyd is responsible for liaison with health professionals internationally and is involved in market support and new country launches.  He developed the Mannatech Speakers’ Bureau, health professionals and other qualified individuals who support Mannatech and its Associates in the field.  Dr. Boyd also assists in the development of international CME (continuing medical education) programs for health professionals in Mannatech’s international markets.

Dr. Boyd obtained his BS (with honors) and PhD degrees in chemistry at the University of Glasgow in the United Kingdom followed by a Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship in thermodynamics at the State University of New York.  Following industrial experience in chemical research, Dr. Boyd returned to college and obtained his MD degree from the University of Toronto.

In his fifteen years of Family Practice in the U.S and Canada, his focus was on wellness, health maintenance and disease prevention.  Dr. Boyd’s interest in medicine and research resulted in his recruitment in Canada as Medical Director of Ortho Pharmaceuticals, a Johnson & Johnson company.  Since 1992, he has been involved in pharmaceutical and nutritional research with naturally-occurring plant carbohydrates.

Dr. Boyd is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Texas Academy of Family Physicians, and the American Medical Association. Dr. Boyd has been a Fellow of The Royal Society of Medicine since 2001.
